Kingdom Death's Percival - Painted by Kit Peteranecz
I had to set the video to 1500% speed because there was over and hour and a half of footage. Also, this was my first time painting in front of a camera so I apologize if there are a few ties when you can see what I was doing. :)
Photo Request
This is a 120mm base glued to a soda cap on the Hobby Holder in Grip mode. I use this setup to paint multiple similar items at once. These are chests from Sword & Sorcery.
Injection Mold Update
Because there has been overwhelming support, I moved the production up two weeks. The injection molds should now be done by Nov. 3 and the production samples of the Hobby Holders should be in my hands by the Nov. 6. This will give us a little wiggle room in case there needs to be adjustments and still stay on the projected time table with the larger numbers of orders than I was expecting.
I have another mini build vote I will announce in tomorrow's update! I think you will like these two a lot. :D

Happy Saturday Friends!
I know I just sent the Percival update, but we unlocked another stretch goal! I cannot thank you enough for this amazing support. I also have some additional goals to share along, a testimonial and a pair of minis I need your help picking which to paint! Let's get to it.
Hit the Ground Running: Part 3 UNLOCKED
+1 Bottle Cap and Tacky Stick UNLOCKED
Now that the Hit the Ground Running: Part 3 stretch goal is unlocked, all backers at The Hobbyist level and above will now have one additional cap and tacky stick added to the previously unlocked four. This means that each backer is now receiving a total of 5 Caps and 5 Tacky Sticks with their pledge to really hit the ground running! I can't wait for each one of you to pop on your first mini and experience The Hobby Holder!
Two New Stretch Goal Reveals
The Cap Mods are some cool things I have been working on to modify your bottle caps like adding magnets or cap drying stands. I like adding colors so we are getting a new color coming up too!

Pick What I Paint: Part 2
I hope everyone liked the Percival video in Update #14. If you haven't had a chance, check it out; there is a lot of good (fast) footage of the Hobby Holder in use. Because that particular sculpt is compact I only used the Base-only and Handle Mode while painting, so I want you to pick something a bit larger for me to paint. We have two options this time: Wyrd's Hodgepodge Emissary or Lucky Emissary (both are 50mm bases). I personally love both of these minis so much, so I am going to be happy either way ;) Let me know in the comments!

"Hit the Ground Running: Part 1" 4 Free Bottle Caps UNLOCKED
Every backer at The Hobbyist level and above will now be receiving 4 free bottle caps with their Hobby Holder so you can get right to painting! I am waiting until I have the injection molded Hobby Holder sample in hand before selecting the exact bottle caps to order so that the best one can be selected. At this point that is close to 3500 bottle caps I am adding to my order that are being passed right along to you, my amazing supporters! Looks like "Hit the Ground Running: Part 2" will be unlocked soon, so stay tuned!
Add-on News
While I wasn't expecting the base extenders to arrive until Tuesday, they surprised me in the mail yesterday! I ordered 1.5" (about 38mm) version, however, I think they don't add enough room for attaching multiple pieces or odd shapes, so I am going to get samples of their 1.75" (about 44mm) version. I think these will hit the mark for what I intend for them to be used for.
These can be permanantly attached to a cap to make a larger basing platform.
Here is a behind-the-scenes shot of my photo "studio" that I have to take down every time we want to play with the trains in the basement. :)

I am still working on getting all the files put together for the Updates Update, but that will hopefully be live sometime tomorrow. This will add a lot of clarification about different things, more photos and FAQs.

New Color UNLOCKED! Question about next stretch goal.

A question about the next stretch goal...
Would you rather add an exclusive combination or open up mix and match your own combo for what would essentially be exclusive combos?
If we go this route I would probably not use the official packaging for the mix matched pieces since I would have to hand pick the orders rather than running them.
Thoughts? We currently have 4 handle colors and 4 base colors.

Another day another big thanks for the outpouring of support for the Hobby Holder! My schedule is all out of whack since I had no idea we would be crushing these stretch goals so early. We now have a 4th color combination unlocked :O
New Color Combination Unlocked - Starry Night
This color combo is inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night
The Starry Night (Marigold Yellow and Midnight Blue) color option for the Hobby Holder is now unlocked! This new color combo will spark your creativity. You can opt to receive the Starry Night combination instead of or with the other unlocked color options depending on how many you have pledged for.
These will also be added as base (Midnight Blue) and handle (Marigold Yellow) colors to the add-on section.
Percival Won!
So I tallied the votes for what mini I should paint next, and Kingdom Death's Percival won! I will film portions of the build and paint and put together a montage of the process using the Hobby Holder.
For those who voted for the Lightning Bugs from Malifaux, do not despair, I will be painting the Lightning Bug after Percival!

I am writing this update with a 5 month old asleep on top of me, so be very quite with your shouts of excitement ;)
You unlocked another stretch goal already?! You all are truly amazing.
Based on the feedback I went ahead and turned the 24k stretch goal into unlocking Mix and Match options. I didn't want to changes the spirit of this goal, but moving forward we will be unlocking things other than colors!
Mix and Match Handle and Base Colors - UNLOCKED!
With the Mix and Match stretch goal unlocked you will now be able to choose the color and base for you reward. Instead of 4 color combinations to choose from you can build any combination of 4 base colors and 4 handle handles for your reward(s). Getting 3 Hobby Holders? You can choose 3 base colors (all the same or different) and 3 handle colors (all the same or different).
